About Our Office & Team
Winslow Dental has been part of downtown Winslow for decades. Three dentists have practiced behind these walls — Dr. Boyd, Dr. Rick, and now Dr. Brent Gardner — each one taking care of the same families across generations. That continuity is rare, and it's not by accident. The people who walk through our door are our neighbors, and we treat them that way.
Dr. Gardner is an Arizona native who trained at Ohio State and came home to practice. His approach is straightforward: try to save the tooth, tell you the truth, do the work well, and don't waste anyone's time. He's known for being efficient at the chair, thorough with the diagnosis, and unusually good at getting patients numb. Patients who come to him after a bad experience elsewhere often tell us the same thing — they finally feel like they're being heard.
The team behind him is what makes this office feel like home. Most of us have been here a while. We know your name when you walk in, we joke with your kids, and we'll take the time to explain what's happening before anything happens. As one of our coordinators puts it: there's no fakesies here. What you see is what you get.

Making Things Cozy
Every exam room has a TV. Bring headphones, bring music, bring a blanket from home if you want — whatever helps you settle in. We'd rather you spend the visit watching something good than staring at the ceiling.
A Welcoming Space
The waiting room has a massage chair, a token machine for the kids, water in the fridge, and coloring pages. It's the kind of space that's meant to take the edge off before you even sit down for your appointment.
Pain Management That Works
"Good at getting numb" is something patients say without us prompting them. Dr. Gardner takes the time to make sure the area is fully numb before he starts. For longer visits, oral sedation and nitrous oxide are available so you can relax through the whole appointment.

Our office sits at 321 W 2nd Street in downtown Winslow, easy to find and easy to park at. We're a private dental practice — separate from Winslow Indian Healthcare Center — and we welcome patients with private insurance, Access plans, and self-pay through our in-house membership. Patients drive to us from across northern Arizona, including Holbrook, Joseph City, Heber-Overgaard, Flagstaff, and the surrounding communities.
